A Love for Boston this Valentine’s Day
Love is in the air around here – from Christopher Columbus Park’s heart arches to Downtown Crossing’s flower stands garnished in red and pink roses. In that spirit, we asked a few Boston local experts about their ideal Valentine’s Day.
“Jimmie and I suggest: Walking along the water in Boston’s Seaport, heading to the ICA, and ending with a matcha latte at Tatte!” – Kate, aka Prep of Boston
“I love getting the chance to re-explore my city any chance I can get so obviously I was up for it! Geoff and I started with coffee at George Howell at Time Out Market (love their oat milk latte), went outside to ice skate (don’t be scared if it’s been awhile; it’s like riding a bike!) and ended with beers at Trillium. It’s all just steps from the Fenway T stop.” – Mackenzie, aka Brunch on Sunday
“How you choose to celebrate any holiday, including Valentine’s Day, and with whom (assuming you’re feeling sociable) is entirely up to you. For me, that sometimes means going big and surprising (my husband) Ted with something he’s had his eye on, but more often than not it’s as simple as writing “I love you” on a Post-It and sticking it to the fridge for him to find, or even just spending a lazy Sunday together.” – Kerrie, Life of Kerrie M. Burke
“My ideal Valentine’s Day? A full date day back in the city in one of our favorite neighborhoods- the Seaport! We’d start with a stroll along the water- no matter the weather, I love taking a stroll along the waterfront. Since the Seaport is always changing, M and I want to check out their newest addition, Snowport, and get my former hockey player husband back on the ice. After all that, you know we would need to fuel up and get him a beer, so it’d be dinner at one of the many amazing restaurants!” – Jenna, aka Boston Chic Party
